Having a website will help you build brand authority and extend your reach to your targeted audiences. Your website should quickly capture what it’s going to be about and what kind of
messages and goals you are trying to deliver.
Here some attributes that will help you build brand authority on your website.
Have a well-branded home page
Having a well-branded home page will help you build brand authority to your website by immediately letting your audience know what the site will be about.
On one of my websites thewritingmaster.com the first thing you can see is the top heading where it states “I am your writer”.
Here you can quickly understand what the website will be related to which would be some type of writing services.
Just above the right, it has my company name as well as some of my main focus documents. Below I have a brief description of me and what my purpose statement is.
You want to let your audience know a little bit about what makes your business unique from the competition.
Not only your business should be unique but building professional connections will help. Let people know what is your background and how have you built that credibility with your clients.
Post some of your projects or products
If you are trying to sell a product then ideally you want to display images showing what the product looks like along with a brief description of your product’s usability. In my case, I offer a service where you can download some of my projects to check out the literate that I have created for my clients.
I also show a brief description of what the service fees are so my clients can have an idea of pricing when they navigate through the website.
Part of building authority to your website is going over your process. This will better clarify some of the questions that most of your clients will have.
When you solidify what you do for your clients and how it would benefit them brings you a step closer to building your brand authority.
Share your recommendations
Recommendations are so important when you are offering a product or service. What is the first thing you do when you look up a new restaurant? Is the food recommendations as well as the service.
People share their experiences whether it is good bad or ugly. This will help your clients have a better idea of how you treat your past clients as well as how you may handle certain situations.
When I tell you people live off recommendations it’s true! So the next time you go ahead and start creating a website for products or services make sure to capture a recommendation section for people to see.
Sharing personal stories
Sharing a part of yourself and how you can solve a problem is significant to any business.
Sharing your unique process on how and why you decided to make positive changes gives people motivation.
We all start somewhere and you never know people may be struggling in this area. building rapport and nurturing relationships help you create a long-term professional and sales funnel with your clients.

What do you think of having an advertisement on a website such as Google Adsense? Do you think this could give a bad image of the brand?
Thanks for your help, I appreciate your opinion.
Wish you the best,
Andy
Hi, Andrea thank you for connecting with me! I am going to be completely transparent but I had dibbed and dabbed on some Google AdSense and to be honest, it was very distracting. If you can learn more on the platform where you can place ads that are appealing and related to your content then that may work. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend it. Thank you for connecting 🙂

This topic is great for someone looking into this field. You provide excellent steps in furthering my education on this topic as well as getting started. thank you for your post. Accomplish your goals and aspirations.

Thanks, lots of specific suggestions on how to build your brand. I agree that sharing a bit about yourself and making it clear to your visitors what your site is about is absolutely essential in capturing their attention.

Do you have any other ideas on how to get your brand out there other than social media? Starting out from the bottom is pretty tough, if you have any other tips on getting ahead, it would be much appreciated as there is ALOT of competition.
Hi, Ryzehn thank you so much for your comment and participation in this discussion :). Most of my brand-building comes from social engagements with strangers. Whether that happens to be on or offline. I would recommend going to networking events to help extend your reach to other professionals. It’s a great way to break the ice with connecting and getting comfortable talking in public.
