What Is Blog Marketing About?

So what is blog marketing about? When I think of blog marketing I think of ways how I can monetize my blog. I also think about what I want to discuss on my blog and how it will benefit others.

I recently started a blog for my freelance business I realized that school did not prepare me for everything that I have been learning. In addition to that, I had trouble finding what I was looking for most of the time.

Which is why I created this website, to teach and educate others that are interested in doing the same. Some want to promote products and or services while others want to make a living off of blogging.

 

 

Where can I start a blog?

There are many platforms that you can use to start a blog. Some may be free and others may require a fee. It took me a few tries to figure out what platform I was going to go with. Essentially the best way to do this is to create a website, especially if you’re interested in monetizing it. Some platforms won’t allow you to do affiliate links.

A website is going to give you a lot of exposure when done the right way.

Yes, it can take time and effort to create a website with some content but to be successful you can’t exchange time for money all the time.

How to create a successful blog post?

The best way you can start creating a successful blog post is by having good content. When I originally I was doing a lot of research so I can better understand SEO. If you are wanting to monetize your blog and make some money out of it I suggest you focus on your content first.

Start with one platform

Choosing the right platform to start your blog can be overwhelming. No matter what you get into you have to learn how to navigate, and edit for better performance. I currently blog on these sites such as this one and the Wealthy Affiliate.

I have other sites that I blog such as Quora and Linkedin However, I don’t give them as much attention as I would like because of the amount of focus. Those are more for social channeling so I can communicate with others.

 

Why do you need a blog?

There are over 3 billion people that are using the internet on a daily basis. This number is just increasing every year.

Can you imagine how much more people you are going to have interactions with and share your thoughts or ideas?

There is going to be less human to human interaction as well as allowing more people to work from home.

 

Where did I start blogging?

I originally created a website on Wix then shortly after I started using the WordPress platform.I found it to be more functional because of all the components that you can add to your site and in my personal opinion it looked more appealing.

I wanted to share things that interest me and I was always curious about how the online marketing world worked.

This took my curiosity even further which led me to build this website that your reading and continue learning so I can share my growth. I then started learning how I can monetize my site and create an online business for myself.

 

Test out different blogs and choose the right one for you

I tested out different platforms to see which one I was going to benefit from. I ended up using and staying with the Wealthy Affiliate platform and here’s why.

Whether your doing it for a personal blog or business you’re going to gain so much experience here that you will be satisfied with the results.

Building a website goes a lot deeper than adding creative content but also knowing specific keyword searches that will get you to the top

of the search engine as well as add privacy to your site.

I was able to accomplish this in my spare time, However, it did take me hours and hours of work so I encourage you not to give up.

How can I make money blogging?

There are many ways to make money blogging the question is which route do you want to take? Or do you want to take all the avenues?

You can create a post on your blog such as Google Adsense and it’s free. All you have to do is sign up and make sure you have enough

content on your site otherwise they will reject your request.

-Sell other peoples products with affiliated programs

You can write reviews on products that you already own so it will be easier for you to talk about them.

This will also give the buyer insight on how the product works.

Now, this doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to own it to write about it but just make sure that you do know what you’re talking about and so some research on it too.

-Write reviews and do giveaways

Giveaways keep people engaged on your blog and make it easier for engaging your audience. If you are going to do a giveaway make sure that it’s fair and true. Don’t do something to lose the trust of reader chances are you won’t gain them back.

A sponsored post would be similar to an affiliated program the only difference is that someone is actually paying you to write a review for them.

First blog post

My first blog was about cryptocurrency particularly ripple and bitcoin.

I was reading up on crypto and I found it very interesting and valuable so I decided to write about it since I was also an investor.

I shared my referral link which took readers directly to the site where they were able to purchase different currencies.

At the time when I created my site, I used WIX as my platform because it was easier to navigate.

I then learned how to incorporate affiliated links and researched some more on how to make money online.

Shortly after I started using WordPress since they have a more upscale platform but hey nothing wrong with either one.

I then started blogging about people and things that I learned along the way sharing my daily views, goals and life experiences.

So remember when you ask your self what is blog marketing about? Think about how you are going to elevate that statement into your own.
